For many of our couples, their wedding day wouldn’t be complete without their four-legged best friend by their side. If this is the same for you, then Priory Barn and Cottages is the perfect wedding venue for you as we are fully dog-friendly, meaning your furry friend can be there to celebrate with you every step of the way.

At Priory Barn and Cottages your dog isn’t just welcome, they’re included. From walking down the aisle with you as the ring bearer or just to share the moment and have a few cute pictures, we make it as easy as possible for your dog to be part of your big day. As long as your dog is well behaved and comfortable around people, they are welcome to enjoy the day alongside you and your guests.

Dog friendly accommodation

One of the biggest challenges of having a dog at your wedding is figuring out where they’ll stay - but at Priory Barn and Cottages, that’s no problem at all. We offer dog-friendly accommodation, meaning your pup can stay overnight and really get comfortable at the venue.

Tips for including your dog

  • Assign a dog sitter - Make sure to ask a friend at the wedding or hire a professional dog sitter to keep an eye on your dog for when you are busy with wedding activities

  • Pack their essentials - We provide dog towels, water bowls and even some doggie treats, but if they have a favourite teddy then make sure you don’t leave it behind. We do ask that no dogs go into the bedrooms so make sure to bring a comfy bed for them to relax on.

  • Practice beforehand - We always recommend bringing your dog with you to any of your appointments so they get used to the venue and can suss it out. We also do a rehearsal the night before the big day so if you are planning on having your dog as part of the ceremony, we definitely recommend letting them practice too.

  • Check with guests - Make sure your guests are comfortable around dogs especially if there are young children attending.
