We specialise in small and intimate events which are held in the Barn area (up to 60 day guests) or larger weddings (up to 150) in the marquee. Either way your celebrations are timeless, exclusive and modern. We are a family run business and pride ourselves on providing a friendly and personal service. We have a wide range of options to suit every taste and budget and we will always endeavour to tailor a package to suit you rather than you to suit a package. In order to maximise the enjoyment of your wedding you have access to the venue from the day before to get settled in and set everything up so that on your big day you can relax and enjoy the day without any stress.

 Your Ceremony

We are fully licensed to conduct your civil ceremony here at Priory Barn & Cottages. Ceremonies are held either upstairs in our beautifully converted barn, where the beams are adorned with fairy lights or, weather permitting, outside in our expansive grounds. After you are officially married why not finish the ceremony with one of our iconic confetti shots.

Ceremonies here at Priory Barn & Cottages are conducted by Harrogate Registry Office. To book a ceremony time call them on 01609 780780 or email them at registrars.harrogate@northyorks.gov.uk

Alternatively, if you are looking for a church ceremony there are two beautiful churches within a 5 minute drive from us; All Saints, Wighill and St Peters, Walton.

We provide all tables and chairs required, access to our surround sound system and a full ceremony rehearsal the night prior with one of our wedding coordinators to make sure everything runs smoothly on your big day.

Drinks Reception

After your ceremony we will invite you and your guests to join us outside in the beautiful private courtyard, where your drinks reception and photographs will take place. The courtyard looks gorgeous no matter the weather, with fairy lights nestled in the hedges and lanterns dotted around to add the extra twinkle for when the sun begins to fade. If the sun isn’t shining for your wedding and we have typical English weather, do not worry, the barn is the perfect inside space to enjoy a glass of fizz.

Wedding Breakfast and Evening Reception

After the drinks reception, this is when we reveal the marquee (which is attached to the barn), where both your wedding breakfast and the dancing will take place. The dancefloor is hidden by a reveal curtain so your DJ/Band can set up behind the scenes ready to be showcased as your evening guests arrive. The marquee really is a blank canvas ready for you to make it your own, you even get to pick the colour of the carpet!

We are proud to work closely along side Taste Cuisine, Homegrown Hospitality  and Chef Tom Coe in order to deliver a unique catering experience for both you and your guests.

Marquee hire includes choice of coloured carpet, linings, choice of up lighter colour, heating, fairy lights, stage, glitter ball, black star cloth, 18ft by 16ft dance floor (available in different colours), tables (available in different sizes), lime wash chiavari chairs, access to our integrated sound system for background music and the all important speeches, handheld microphone, 4 chandeliers on dimmers, cake table, easel, conveniences and kitchen facilities.

We plan your marquee together from top to bottom!

The Cottages

We have seven beautifully decorated cottages for you and your guests to enjoy. As we are an exclusive use wedding venue we ask that you take all of the cottages for the night before and the night of your wedding, really making the place a home from home. The night before, weather permitting, why not have a BBQ in the courtyard or pop to the local pub to make a full weekend out of your celebrations.

If you want to prolong the celebrations even more, why not add a third nights stay (subject to availability).
